| Where is Cape Tribulation? Cape Tribulation is located on the Daintree Coast, north of the Daintree River, and is surrounded by Daintree National Park, which is part of the Daintree Rainforest World Heritage Area The Daintree River This is the main point of entry. A car ferry makes continuous crossings during the day, from 6am until midnight. A return ticket is $20. A multi-pass ticket for $40 allows 5 return journeys – a saving of $60. The ferry crossing takes about ten minutes. The road north from the ferry to Cape Tribulation passes through amazing rainforest scenery, with winding roads and some great views of the coastline.
Road Conditions The road is fully sealed all the way to Cape Tribulation - a 4WD vehicle is NOT required.
| Car Hire You can hire a normal sedan car to drive to Cape Tribulation. Public transport Sun Palm Transport (Phone 07 4084 2626) www.sunpalmtransport.com offers regular daily services to Cape Tribulation, and tickets can be booked directly online. The bus stops at the Cairns Airport to collect passengers. After 10.30am all air flights are met directly and passengers transferred to Port Douglas, where they can leave their bags at the office and explore Port Douglas on the local shuttle bus for free, while waiting for the 4.30pm departure to Cape Tribulation, arriving at 6.25pm. Usually, passengers will be dropped directly at their accommodation. Coach tours Jungle Tours visits Cape Tribulation each day, and offers a variety of packages. The tour stops along the way and visits several attractions. |
